MCCAC' s Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and the Oregon Energy Assistance Program (OEA) as well as several local utility programs will be in full swing this year starting October 1st for Seniors and Disabled persons. Applications will not be mailed out this year as in the past. Clients who received a letter last year will need to call for an appointment
The regular program will open to the general public on Dec. 3rd. appointments are scheduled by calling or coming into our office to set up an appointment time.
Wasco and Sherman County residents should call (541) 298-5131 and Hood River County residents should call (541)386-4027.
Appointments are scheduled (on a first come first serve basis) every day for those wishing to apply. Households are given an appointment date and time and you must bring the following information with you to your appointment:
- Social Security numbers for everyone in the household,
- ID for all adults in the household,
- income verification for the 30 days prior to your appointment
- a copy of your most recent energy/utility bill.
