MCCAC Hires Leslie Naramore as Executive Director

The Dalles, Oregon – Mid-Columbia Community Action Council (MCCAC) is pleased to announce that Leslie Naramore has been hired as the agency’s Executive Director. Leslie will officially begin her new role on August 1 after serving as Interim Executive Director since February of this year.

“We are thrilled that Leslie has accepted the role of Executive Director of MCCAC. During her time as Interim Executive Director, Leslie has demonstrated her ability to lead the organization through transition, prioritizing support of our staff team while ensuring uninterrupted programming to the community” said Joan Bird, Chair of the MCCAC Board of Directors. “Leslie has also proven her capacity to lead the agency’s response to unexpected needs, including during severe winter weather and in the aftermath of the Rowena Fire.”

Leslie brings eleven years of professional experience in local community action and non-profit management, including more than seven years serving as the Executive Director of the MCCAC’s counterpart in Klickitat and Skamania Counties, Washington Gorge Action Programs (WAGAP).

“I care deeply about the work of community action and am honored to have been chosen to continue with the MCCAC team as Executive Director. Over the past six months, the MCCAC staff has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the agency through a period of transition and instability,” said Naramore. “I’m excited to continue working with the MCCAC staff and community partners moving forward and to see our work affect tangible change in the community over time.”

The Dalles, Oregon – Mid-Columbia Community Action Council (MCCAC) se complace en anunciar que Leslie Naramore ha sido nombrada como Directora Ejecutiva de la agencia. Leslie asumirá oficialmente su nuevo cargo el 1 de agosto, después de desempeñarse como Directora Ejecutiva Interina desde febrero de este año.

–Estamos muy contentos de que Leslie haya aceptado el cargo de Directora Ejecutiva de MCCAC. Durante su tiempo como Directora Ejecutiva Interina, Leslie ha demostrado su capacidad para guiar a la organización durante una etapa de transición, priorizando el apoyo a nuestro equipo de personal y asegurando que los programas comunitarios no se interrumpieran– dijo Joan Bird, Presidenta de la Junta Directiva de MCCAC. –Leslie también ha demostrado su habilidad para responder ante necesidades imprevistas, incluyendo durante las severas tormentas del invierno y tras el incendio forestal de Rowena–

Leslie cuenta con once años de experiencia profesional en acción comunitaria local y en la gestión de organizaciones sin fines de lucro, incluyendo más de siete años como Directora Ejecutiva de la organización hermana de MCCAC en los condados de Klickitat y Skamania, conocida como Washington Gorge Action Programs (WAGAP).
